The Bike
I recently purchased an Avanti Montari 29'er mountain bike from Eric at Beerwah Cycles.
The other day, after a successful ride on the Dularcha Tunnel Trail I decided to go bike riding Ewen Maddock Dam.

The Track
I started my ride from Gympie Street North in Landsborough which has a locked gate and some horse walk over rails (not sure their proper name) so 4WD's and motorbikes can't enter.
If you follow the main track (track 1) you will have a mostly wide reasonably well maintained track. Being a not very experienced mountain bike rider I loved it with just enough challenges without being too difficult.
How To Get There
Landsborough
The start of the track is at the end of Gympie Street North
Ewen Maddock Dam
The start of the track is from Maddock Park, just past the kids play area and toilets.

The Ewen Maddock Dam
Since the dam facilities were upgraded a few years back the Ewen Maddock Dam has been a great place for a BBQ or picnic, fishing, base to go horseriding, canoeing, walking and of course mountain bike riding.
There is a good kids playground and very well maintained gardens and park areas.
