Mary Cairncross Park
Or Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is the official title, is not actually in the Glass House Mountains area but is only about 10 minutes from my house and is a very popular place to take beautiful photos of the mountains (including my header photo)
You can find this park at 148 Mountain View Road, Maleny.
Named after Mary Cairncross (Thynne) who's family donated the 100+ acres of land which the park is built on.
Established to protect the original rainforest it is an oasis of trees in the middle of country cleared for dairying.
