Sunshine Coast

I have loved the Sunshine Coast since my first visit, some 25 years ago.

The relaxed, laid back lifestyle we have is something I think most people who choose to live on the Sunshine Coast never want to loose.

The Sunshine Coast Beaches Are Great

But I Wouldn't Want To Live There

Where I live in the Glass House Mountains area I feel has the best of the Sunshine Coast lifestyle.

We have plenty of room and open spaces with walking tracks, mountain bike tracks, horse riding tracks, national parks and of course mountains to climb but the beaches of Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast are only a 15 minute drive from my house.

Sunshine Plaza, in Maroochydore is about 25 minutes away and Noosa is close to an hour away.

My Favourite Places On The Sunny Coast

Caloundra is my pick of towns on the coast.

I would never have agreed when I was younger and thought Caloundra was just a retirement village with no nightlife and quite frankly a bit boring.

But things change when you have kids I guess, the great protected beaches (protected by Bribie Island), kids playgrounds, parks, boardwalks, cafe's and our new favourite pool at Kings Beach which is salt water with wheelchair access and right on the beach.

Australia Zoo is my pick of the tourist attractions on the coast.
